CORN   FRITTERS

( WITH  DIPPING  SAUCE  TOO )
 
 

2 cups cream style corn
1 egg
1/2 cup milk
2 cups self-rising flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vegetable oil
1/8 tsp. pepper (omit if using cinnamon sauce)

Mix all ingredients well. Drop by teaspoons
full into 2 inches of hot oil. Fry for 2-3
minutes till desired doneness. This recipe
makes 48 fritters, my friend usually cuts
the recipe in half for her family.

Cinnamon Sauce

2/3 cup sugar
1 1/2 tsp. corn starch
1/8 tsp. salt
1 cup boiling water
1/2 tsp. cinnamon

Mix all ingredients well.
Bring to boil.
Serve over fritters while hot.
