TWENTY-
SEVEN
VISITORS
Twenty-seven people
were invited to a church
None knew of
Salvation, came to listen and to 'search'.
The church to
hold Revival so the members did invite
And twenty-seven
visitors showed up one Sunday night.
The Preacher at
the pulpit stood a Godly man to
tell
The way to
finding Jesus, yes the One escape from
Hell.
Twenty-six to
visit for now one had gone to
sleep
He said his
only prayer - 'Lord I pray my soul
to keep'.
And he'll be
lost forever if he never sees the
light
If he should
die before he wakes, in Hell he'll
be tonight.
Now Twenty-five were
seated until one would walk away
He said 'I
don't have to listen, I can wait
another day'.
Twenty-four that
evening - closer to eternal death
The Preacher
'stepped on toes' so out the back
another left.
Twenty-three the
visitors to hear Salvation's Plan
So cold in
heart was one, oh such a lost
and lonely man.
Twenty-two to listen
to the Gospel being told
One had chosen
blindness, he was 'climbing' to the
Fold.
Twenty-one were sitting
in that church with heavy heart
A woman in
her thirties made her mind up from
the start.
Now Twenty at
Revival and they heard about the One
His Name was
Jesus Christ and now they knew about
God's Son.
The Preacher, he
was telling of the day at Calvary
He told about
the Price was Paid to set the
sinners Free.
The music softly
playing, heads were bowed for altar
call
No one stirred
and people praying, singing 'I Surrender
All.'
A woman left
her seat for she believed Christ took
her place
She started down
that aisle with the tears upon her
face.
The man just
in the middle pew was shuffling now
his feet
God's gives us
all a choice, but would he choose
to leave
his seat ?
A woman in
her twenties prayed 'Dear Jesus, I
repent,
I realize your
Sacrifice, I know why You were sent.'
The gentleman now
sitting in the very back......alone
He knew that
he was Lost, God's Holy Spirit made
it known.
Another walked that
aisle and he knelt upon his knees
Praying 'Jesus I
repent, yes I'm a sinner, Save me
please.'
Under such conviction,
three with knuckles oh so white
Holding to that
pew with all their pride and all
their might.
Two Lost souls
were thinking 'bout their sinful wicked
past
That walk it
seemed a mile down that aisle, walking
fast.
' I've good morals,
I'm no sinner' were the thoughts of
one
just then -
But Jesus died
for sinners, not for good and righteous
men.
The Preacher he
had shown them what the Bible has
to say
Salvation's not
from works so don't you ever boast
today.
By Faith alone
the Scriptures, pray he soon will realize
Those good deeds
would not help him, never win him
any prize.
Three more they
were nervous as they wondered of their
fate
They would not
Trust in Jesus and their time was
getting late.
A husband and
his wife to turn and kneel right
where they were
God's Holy Spirit
working, yes Rivival did occur !
Eleven more decided
they weren't ready to commit
And call upon
our Saviour, so they'd risk that fiery
pit.
Revival, it had
happened and more souls that night
were Saved
They came to
Christ as children and their hearts
to
Him they gave.
Repentence is the
way once you have realized you're Lost
We cannot work
for Heaven, Christ already Paid the
Cost.
Rivival, sweet Revival
! Yes it happened in that church
;
Of Twenty-seven
people...........
some were Saved
and some still
search.
