'Twas
the night of the Rapture
And
all through the house
Not
a soul was found praying
Not
the man or his spouse.
Their
hearts were all filled
With
the ways of the Lost
Each
rejecting our Saviour
And
not afraid of the cost.
For their
Bible was laid
Replaced by
money, greed and lust
Mom
and Dad watching movies -
'Tis
'Rated R' they trust.
While
visions of money -
Piled
high in a stack
Made
them forget that our Lord
Was
soon coming back.
Soon
up in the sky
T'would
a trumpet to shout
Mom
and Dad ran outside !
But
they had both been left
out.
It happened
so quickly
In the
'twinkling of an eye'
They
reached for each other -
Neither
one was in the sky.
And what
did their wondering thoughts
then behold ?
To remember
the Scriptures there in
God's Holy Word
They
loved worldly pleasures and
it's glory, the same
But
wished now just once they
had called out HIS Name.
Now trembling
! Now Pleading !
Oh please,
one more chance !
We didn't
believe ! Knew not the
day in advance !
On Judgement
Day standing, ashamed -looking down
In God's
Book of Life, their names
were not found.
Away
to Hell's pit with it's
flames and it's fire
If only
Salvation had ever been
their desire
Then
the Saved entered Heaven,
with Jesus in sight,
For
Eternity with God, walked
into the light.
