Lord  as  You  take  my  hand
So  oft'  there  must  have  been
Your  footprints  in  the  sand.
 

Just  one  step  at  a  time
Not  on  my  own  accord
When  I  stumbled  and  I  fell
I  walked  without  You  Lord.
 

Just  one  step  at  a  time
Though  baby  steps  they  be
It's  all  that  I  can  manage
In  this  old  world,  You  see.
 

Just  one  step  at  a  time
Pray  to  walk  with  Grace
So  as  not  to  be  ashamed
When  I  look  upon  Your  face.
 

Just  one  step  at  a  time
'Til  time  for  me  to  rest
Lord  help  me  while  I'm  here
To  always  do  my  best.
