Mama
Knew
The Lord
gives some the wisdom
For to
raise a child, it's true
He furnishes
the guidelines
And this
fact, my mama knew.
To love
her children dearly
Was to
heed God's Holy Word
Not e're
to leave out discipline
If when
the time occurred.
For she
knew that to love
With all
her heart and all her soul
Meant she
must teach her children
Right from
wrong, to be her goal.
She taught
me understanding
Of a
lie to what is true,
If e're
in doubt, the Scriptures
Gave Instruction,
mama knew.
'Tis not
an easy task
To raise
a child in this 'ole world
But spare
the rod to spoil
Takes all
the luster from a pearl.
My mother
knew the answer
For her
Bible, daily read
A child
from you departs
And later
comes that awful dread.
Oh parents
heed Instruction
Don't let
satan to deceive
If you
don't teach your children
You are
one day sure to grieve.
Yes mama
she had wisdom
I thank
God her love was true
Comparing
all to Scripture,
Not to
foolish books, she knew.
If one
shall follow New Age-
Modern
methods, full of lies
That child
you're sure to lose
And all
regrets won't dry your eyes.
It isn't
complicated,
God has
made His Word so plain
Oh love
enough your child
That He
expects for you to train.
I thank
you Lord for mama
'Twas because
of You, she knew
She taught
me of the difference
Between
lies and what is true.
