LORD,
TODAY I WAS
JUST
THINKIN'
Lord,
today I was just thinkin'
'Bout
the way it was You died
I
thought of all Your suffering
When
You were Crucified.
It
suddenly occurred to me
That
I really have no clue
Of
what that pain was really like
On
the day they tortured You.
Lord,
today I was just thinkin'
'Bout
the Blood from You was shed
And
the hatred of the soldiers
That
were laughing as You bled.
Then
too, I got to thinkin'
When
they gathered stones to throw
How
much it must have hurt
And
Lord, I may not ever know.
It
must have been so terrible,
Those
nails when driven in
The
angels were not summoned
When
You died for every sin.
Lord,
today I was just thinkin'
It's
because of YOU I'm Saved
And
one thing is for certain
It
was big, that debt You Paid.
Because
I know that me alone -
My
share of sins not small
So
that itself was quite a debt
But
You Died to wash them all.
So
thank You Lord for everything
For
my Salvation, for my soul
I
just wanted You to know.
