FIRST WARM IT UP A LITTLE IN THE OVEN.

SPEED UP BAKING TIME.
 


 

IF YOU CUT THE ROOT OFF OF THE ONION LAST,
YOU'LL SHED LESS TEARS.
 


 

RIPEN GREEN FRUITS BY PLACING IN A PERFORATED
PLASTIC BAG. THE HOLES ALLOW AIR MOVEMENT, YET
WHEN RETAIN THE ODORLESS GAS WHICH FRUITS
PRODUCE TO PROMOTE RIPENING.
 


 

SCALDING TOMATOES, PEACHES, OR PEARS IN BOILING

A FEW DROPS OF LEMON JUICE ADDED TO SIMMERING
RICE WILL KEEP THE GRAINS SEPERATE.
 


 

A SMALL AMOUNT OF BAKING SODA ADDED TO GRAVY
WILL ELIMINATE EXCESS GREASE.

WHEN ADDING TOMATOES TO A POT OF STEW OR
OTHER RECIPES COOKING ON THE STOVE, MAKE
SURE TO COOK THE POTATOES UNTIL THEY ARE
SOFT BEFORE ADDING TOMATOES TO THE POT.
FOR SOME REASON, POTATOES WON'T COOK TO
COMPLETELY SOFT IF YOU ADD THE TOMATOES
BEFORE COOKING THE POTATOES ALL THE WAY
DONE.
