'
I DREAMED I WENT
TO
HEAVEN '
I
dreamed I went to Heaven
'Twas
the Rapture in the sky
That
trumpet sounded ' Glory ! '
In
the twinkling of an eye.
I
walked along in Paradise
My
robe was sparkly white
The
joy, it over-whelmed me
As
I marveled at each sight.
Peter
stood near Jacob -
Who
was standing next to Paul
Matthew,
he was reading
Near
a crystal waterfall.
Just
as I turned the corner
Saw
a garden red and green
With
roses, sheer perfection
And
the prettiest I had seen.
I
walked a little further
-
'Twas no weight upon my feet
Beneath
me there were jewels
On
a gold and pearly street.
I
noticed John and Joshua
They
sat beside a lake
My
happiness engulfed me
As
I hoped not yet to wake'.
David
stood with Joseph -
I
saw Mark and Daniel, too
Then
over near a choir
Was
a mansion, bright and new.
Now
Samuel and Moses
They
were talking to ' Eli '
I
looked to just the right of me
And
there stood Malachi.
I
heard a voice was singing
One
so sweet, it made me
smile
;
The
voice belonged to Ruth
-
I stopped to listen for
a
while.
When
just as I was turning
T
'ward another street ahead
I
saw my Precious Jesus
So
I ran to Him instead!
My
heart was overflowing
From
my Saviour that I saw
I
knew that this was Heaven
And
that Jesus Paid it all.
Then
suddenly I saw him
Oh
my joy, you'll never know
For
there he stood - my Jeffrey-
he
said,
"
Mama, I love you so. "
We
talked for many hours
Tho'
but 'time' was nothing there
I
hugged my son so tightly
And
I touched his face and hair.
I
dreamed I went to Heaven
But
I knew when I awoke
That
one day, it will happen
Just
as sure as Jesus spoke.
If
only heart's would soften
And
if those still lost could know
The
joy that comes from Jesus -
Not
a one would answer ' NO'.
