'
I'VE GONE FISHIN', SEE '
I
said a little prayer
Mama,
don't wait up for me
And
please you mustn't worry
Becoz'
I've gone fishin', see.
The
day before he left us
Daddy
told me what to do
He
said that I was old enough
To
catch a bite or two.
In
case you don't see 'Skipper'
Don't
you worry, he's with me
So
Mama, I'll get supper
Becoz'
I've gone fishin', see.
I'm
gonna be the man around
I
know just what to do
You
won't be sad or lonely
Mama,
I'll take care of you.
Daddy
said he's trusting me
Since
I'm his 'little guy'
The
day that Jesus took him
He
said, 'Big boys, they don't cry.'
I
took along his fishing pole
To
catch for you some fish
And
mama that you cry no more
Was
Daddy's final wish.
In
case that you don't know it
Daddy
taught me lots of stuff
Like
how to fish and how to
be
Brave
and strong and tuff.
You
mustn't ever worry mama,
Please
depend on me
You'll
never get too hungry
Becoz'
I've gone fishin', see.
