YET
Ran to soccer,
ran to town
Piano practice
- Priority One
Dress rehearsals
for a play
Sundays came
and Sundays went
But my child
was so involved
Dance recitals -
curtain calls
Ballet lessons,
'career in sight' !
Run run run,
too late to walk !
Kept as busy
as could be
Church on
Sundays? Never time
Bake cookies
together? no, gotta' rush
SHE had the
right to choose HER life
Ten years
later, sat and cried today
My daughter
got into trouble somehow
( We stayed
busy all week long
Top priority
it seems was just
There was
never time to read
Never time
for ' Gospel fuel '
She had the
best this world could bring
She called
to share with me the news
Said " Mom,
I've found peace within
Said " I found
out Christ died for me
"Mom I know
now what I'd never known -
For we are
only passing through
For to Save
us mom, God sent His Son
Christ shed HIS blood and Paid our debt I'm praying for you mom, It's not too
late yet. "
