IN
MY OLD-FASHIONED
SIMPLE
WAY

To
Jim and Connie Keeling, like to share my thoughts today
I'd
like to let you know, in my old-fashioned, simple way.
Now
yonder in Kentucky, there lives one, a mighty man
He's
mighty for his Witness, for he takes the Gospel stand.
His
Faith in God is steady, just as sure as water flows
Within
the Flock included, sure as that ole' North Wind blows.
Now
Brother Jim's a warrior, when he prays for you and me
His
Sisters and His brothers, for in Christ, he cares, you see.
Now
Connie she's a treasure, Jim's right-arm 'tis sure and true
I've
never seen a better Testimony shining through.
So
many times remembered, "Jim I have a prayer request"
There's
never been a question, I know Jim, he gives his best.
His
Ministry has lifted, it has touched a many a soul
And
if he wanted blessings, then he far surpassed his goal.
Oh,
have you seen his website? For a blessing there awaits
He'll
tell you 'bout our Saviour, all about our Heaven's Gates.
No
words can ever tell them, how they've blessed my very heart
Those
sweet Kentucky Keelings, I just don't know where to start.
But
one thing I can tell you, I won't pull out any stops
As
a Brother and a Sister, well I know that they're the Tops!
If
you've never heard Jim's singing, then you're in for quite a treat
When
you listen to his singing, you'll rejoice and tap your feet.
One
day when God decided, Jeffrey's time on earth was done
Jim
was there reminding me, to lean upon God's Son.
For
comfort and for prayers, you can always count on Jim
He's
shed some tears for friends, I know, for that's the way of him.
So
seldom that we meet someone, who's special and unique
Someone
who won't compromise, but in pleasing God to seek.
Someone
who believes the path, is down that Roman's Road
Who
loves the Lord with all their heart, and loves the Gospel told.
Someone
who will never sway, yet bends an ear to those
That
suffer from not knowing Christ, for compassion, Jim,
he
knows.
So
to Jim and Connie Keeling, I have shared my thoughts today
And
I've told you in my simple, my old-fashioned Texan way;
That
you are such a blessing, and I'm glad to call you 'friend'
Glad
to have you as my Brother, and my Sister, to the end.
One
day when we reach Heaven, I shall walk right up to you
Then
I'll smile and say -
"
Well my goodness! I'm that dizzy blonde
you knew. "
