"
I'M A LITTLE
BASEBALL
BATTER
"
I'm
a little baseball batter
Who
can hardly hold the bat
It
really doesn't matter
I
can't see above my hat !
I
love to run the bases
Tho'
my strikes are always three
The
Coach makes funny faces
When
my mommy claps for me !
Daddy
calls me ' Trooper '
'Coz
I done the best I could
I
made another blooper
But
my stamina is good !
The
bases all were loaded
As
I took my turn to bat
I
nearly just exploded -
I
was blinded by my hat !
The
ball was gently rollin'
To
the Pitcher, as I ran
My
glory then was stolen
When
my britches fell again !
That
bat, it sure is heavy
But
I practice ever' day
My
swing is gettin' steady
And
this batter's here to stay !
It
isn't any wonder
That
one day I'll hit a Run
I'm
gonna get the number
Of
those strikes from three to none.
Babe
Ruth, I got a message
That
I think you ought'a know
Better
watch out for this batter
'Coz
I'm goin' to the 'show'.
