A
cross was carried at Calvary
For
what Jesus wanted to do
It
was done to set souls Free
And
He did it for me and you.
We
know that Jesus could call
Ten
thousand angels to aid
Instead,
never asked them at all
Sufferred
as each sin was Paid.
They
beat and bruised God's Son
But
the Cost - HE already knew
What
it took to Free everyone
And
He did it for me and you.
Each
stripe He chose to take
Jesus
never changed His mind
His
suffering was done for our sake
There's
no greater love to find.
The
nails He chose to withstand
-
His flesh was torn then, too
But
it was all part of God's Plan
And
He did it for me and you.
A
ways from the cross, down below
Men
gambled- 'casting their lot'
What
greater Love could Jesus show ?
He
stayed, and took what He got.
To
Golgotha, He walked the hill,
In
Agony, yet still He stood
Then
afterwards, loved us still !
-
I know that WE never could.
Just
remember how Jesus Paid,
The
suffering that He went thru'
Salvation!
because of Christ today
And
He did it for me and you.

Chapter
Two, Verse 21:
I
do not frustrate the grace of
God,
for if righteousness come
by
the law, then Christ is dead
in
vain.
