GIFTS
FROM GOD
When
the dewey drops of morning
Touched
the grass at early dawn
I
awoke to lovely bluebirds
Serenading
me with song.
A
mockingbird was humming
And
a rooster took a bow
As
I tried to put in words
The
way my heart it felt just now.
How
I love the early morning
That
arises in the Spring
I
love to hear the music
Of
the robins when they sing.
It
reaches down into my heart
The
way the tree limbs sway
God
made for us such beauty
And
He made it His Own way.
I
watched as leaves were blowing
E'er
so gently 'cross the lake
It
suddenly occurred to me.....
'
Why, this was no mistake.'
Our
Lord, He made the oceans
And
He made the breeze to blow
He
made the clouds a'floating
Just
as sure as He made snow.
God
planned for us horizons
That
can bring a tear to eye
He
thought about the rainbows
That
so decorate the sky.
This
morning after I awoke
I
watched the squirrels run
From
branch to branch so happily
And
then He brought the sun.
Just
when I felt my heart to lift
He
went and gave me more
He
sent me two more butterflies
More
beautiful than before.
I
watched a weeping-willow
As
it stretched and gently bent
I
watched the earth awaken
With
the gifts that God had sent.
Tho'
I can't describe the beauty
I
but wondered, ' do they know ? '
The
many Gifts provided,
Dear Heavenly Father thank you so !
God
must have loved us awful
For
the beauty that He gave
And
then He loved us even more
When
He sent His Son to Save.
