BORN
TWICE
TO
DIE BUT ONCE
Born
twice to die but once
Could
be the story of my soul
The
day I called on Jesus
'Twas
Salvation for my goal.
I
knew that I was Lost,
Upon
my knees to Him I cried
"
Lord I give my heart to You,
I
know why You were Crucified. "
Born
twice to die but once
Because
He washed away my sin
I
cried " I give my heart to You
So
Precious Jesus come on in ! "
When
my mother gave me life
'Tis
but the first time I was born
For
her daughter she rejoiced
'Twas
on one early summer morn.
Then
so many years would pass
Until
the day He washed me white
For
by Faith I called on Christ,
He
turned my darkness into Light.
Born
twice to die but once
You
see, a second Birth occurred
For
one day He set me Free
Oh
yes there's power in His Word !
And
one day if I should leave
Before
I hear that Trumpet Sound
For
my soul now don't you grieve
Because
with Jesus I'll be found.
Tho'
my shell may lie so deep
Beneath
the earth, below the soil
Just
remember I'm not dead
And
it was worth the pain and toil.
It
matters not that in my grave
If
I lay weeks, or many months
For
since my soul Dear Jesus Saved
I
was born twice to die but once.
