This is a poem I wrote not long after I was Saved.
That was many years ago and today I'm still
Praising my Saviour's Name. 
 

A   LETTER   TO   THE   LORD
 
 

I  wrote  a  letter  to  the  Lord
It's  buried  deep  within  my  heart
And  I  thanked  Him  for  his  wonderful
Salvation  to  impart.
 

Well  my  'friends'  all  laughed  at  me,
Walked  away  from  where  I  stood
Oh  but  I  don't  mind  you  see
For  they  did  my  soul  no  good.
 

Just  the  other  day  I  thought
About  the  world  so  full  of  sin
I'm  so  glad  He  Saved  my  soul,
I  knelt  and  thanked  the  Lord  again.
 

There's  a  lasting  Peace  within
And  I'm  gonna  spread  the  Word
Spread  it  loud  and  joyfully
So  I  know  I  can  be  heard.

With my  Saviour  by  my  side,
With  a  Promise  for  my  soul
I  shall  ever  Praise  His  Name
For  He  cleansed  and  made  me  whole.

I  don't  worry  o'er  today,
For  my  Jesus  Ransomed  me
 I've  been  Bought  and  I've  been  Sealed
By  His  Blood  He  set  me  Free.
